Straps are made of BioThane material and fastened by rivets. Wrist Straps are made using the standard thickness which is 2.5 mm thick. We offer two standard width 1/2 & 5/8. BioThane is not indestructible, will last longer then leather but like all things will eventually wear specially if being dragged on the ground and over sharp rocks. Inspect your product for defect every so often to insure there are no break points to prevent pets from getting away.
